Senior Electrical Engineer - Dublin or Cork

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Dublin office. This role involves work across a range of sectors including data centres, industrial, commercial, oil and gas, and pharmaceutical projects. Experience with European data centres and mission-critical facilities, as well as projects in pharmaceutical processes, healthcare, commercial sectors, laboratories, or clean rooms, is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the complete electrical design process for projects of varying sizes.
• Execute electrical design tasks ranging from building services electrical systems up to medium voltage (MV) topologies.
• Provide quality assurance and control on electrical engineering projects when required.
• Manage project costs effectively to meet budget requirements.
• Lead both project teams and interdisciplinary teams within the existing organizational framework.
• Drive adoption and integration of new technologies and innovations.
• Mentor and support the professional development of team members.
• Travel to client sites and project locations to represent the company during meetings, surveys, and related activities.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a senior electrical engineer fulfilling the listed responsibilities.
• A bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (BSc or BEng) or equivalent relevant experience.
• Membership in MIEE or holding HNC/HND plus corresponding experience or an equivalent qualification.
• Chartership status or candidates actively pursuing chartership will be given preference.
• Substantial experience in specification and design for multiple building types.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Possession of a full Irish driving license.
• Fluent English proficiency and eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation applicable to engineering projects.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word and Excel.
• Competence in software tools such as Dialux, Amtech (Trimble), Etap, Eracs, and Cdegs.
• Good understanding of British Standards relevant to electrical engineering.
• Ability to effectively prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Management and presentation skills.
• Ability to support project delivery aligned with our Project Delivery Process including project management, financial management, quality assurance, and technical review.
• Preferably has background experience in consulting or construction sectors.
• Familiarity with international business practices of a global consultancy.
