Senior Electrical Engineer

About the Role

We are collaborating with a reputed international consultancy to recruit a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for their expanding team in Dubai. This position involves leading electrical design efforts on sophisticated projects including high-rise buildings, cultural centers, residential complexes, and mixed-use developments across the GCC region. The role encompasses managing projects from initial pre-concept stages through design development, IFC documentation, and securing authority approvals.

Key Duties

• Oversee electrical design leadership on complex high-rise, cultural, residential, and mixed-use projects in the GCC.
• Manage projects end-to-end starting from pre-concept to design development, IFC preparation, and obtaining necessary authority approvals.
• Engage with clients directly, overseeing commercial and financial aspects related to projects.
• Lead and inspire a diverse design team located in Dubai and offshore.
• Guarantee compliance of designs with regulatory requirements set by local authorities including DEWA, SEWA, and Civil Defence.
• Provide technical leadership ensuring delivery of high-quality electrical design packages.

Candidate Profile

• Possess minimum 12 years of experience in electrical design, with considerable consultancy exposure in the UAE/GCC.
• In-depth understanding of local codes and authority regulations such as DEWA, SEWA, and Civil Defence requirements.
• Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Preferably chartered or actively pursuing Chartered Engineer status.
• Demonstrated ability to lead design teams and manage both commercial and financial project elements.
• Excellent communication skills combined with strong technical expertise.
