About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Dry Bulk Shipbroker specializing in Supramax and Panamax vessels to join our team in Singapore. This role involves managing chartering activities for both spot and period contracts across the Pacific and Atlantic regions. The successful candidate will collaborate with shipowners, charterers, and traders to grow their portfolio within a stable and reputable company platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Broker Supramax and Panamax vessels on both voyage and time charter bases.
- Handle full transactional processes, including negotiations, recaps, and drafting charter party agreements.
- Develop and expand cargo and tonnage opportunities on principal trade routes such as Indo-India, Australia-China, and US Gulf to Far East.
- Deliver market intelligence and pinpoint business prospects amid fluctuating freight markets.
- Establish and nurture trust-based partnerships with owners, charterers, and traders.
- Work closely with internal operations and Forward Freight Agreement (FFA) teams to ensure seamless deal execution and effective risk management.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 5 to 10 or more years of experience in dry bulk shipbroking with a focus on Supramax and Panamax vessels.
- Demonstrate a strong commercial acumen combined with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Have an established network of contacts including owners, operators, and charterers within Asia-Pacific or international markets.
- Exhibit solid negotiation skills, effective communication abilities, and client relationship management expertise.
- Be proficient with chartering software and tools such as IMOS, Baltic Exchange, or VesselsValue.
- Based in Singapore or willing to relocate there.
