Role Overview
As the Senior Director leading the Technology Intelligence Unit (TIU), you will direct Singtel's early warning technology system, transforming emerging tech insights into strategic guidance for executive leadership and the Technology Advisory Council (TAC). Your leadership will be crucial in identifying relevant innovations and advising on their potential impacts to inform critical decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the secretariat lead for the Technology Advisory Council, managing agenda creation, content curation, and stakeholder coordination.
- Drive systematic technology monitoring and evaluation leveraging AI-enhanced processes across prioritized sectors.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of emerging technologies, evaluating their maturity, commercial viability, and strategic significance for Singtel.
- Produce strategic insight documents, executive briefs, and recommendations for senior management.
- Employ structured assessment frameworks to determine technology relevance, timing, and value generation potential.
- Collaborate closely with business units, operational companies, innovation teams, and other stakeholders to validate findings and gauge real-world applicability.
- Organize and coordinate TAC meetings, including preparatory materials, deep dive sessions, and follow-up actions.
- Oversee selected partnerships and external research activities related to technological intelligence.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Over 10 years of experience in strategic technology, innovation, or related roles, preferably within telecommunications, technology industries, or consulting environments.
- Deep knowledge of emerging technology trends and their potential commercial impacts.
- Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with C-suite executives and board members.
- Exceptional skill in simplifying complex technological subjects into understandable and actionable insights.
- Strong leadership qualities and effective stakeholder management capabilities.
