About the Role
Capgemini Technology Services India Limited invites seasoned professionals to join as Senior Digital Continuity & Manufacturing Engineers focused on MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) solutions. Working from locations including Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, candidates will engage directly with manufacturing units to enhance operational efficiencies by implementing innovative MES and digital manufacturing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the MES Subject Matter Expert bridging communication between business and IT teams.
- Collaborate closely with Development, Support, Deployment teams, and end users to ensure seamless project execution and timely resolution of issues.
- Collect, analyze, and document detailed business requirements and user stories tailored to manufacturing processes.
- Lead the preparation of key project documents such as User Stories, Functional Design Documents, PRE-ROM, Analyst Testing protocols, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and release plans.
- Translate functional requirements into clear technical specifications and provide continuous support throughout testing, validation, and deployment stages.
- Ensure MES solutions are fully aligned with the operational requirements of manufacturing workflows.
- Engage actively in Agile ceremonies, collaborating across multifunctional teams to drive project progress.
Required Competencies
- Substantial functional expertise with MES platforms combined with hands-on Business Analysis experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing operations and workflow processes.
- Experience in .NET application testing and debugging practices.
- Practical knowledge of web and mobile application environments, especially Android platforms.
- Proficiency in using web services technologies, including SOAP UI and Postman for API testing.
- Strong database management skills with working knowledge of MySQL and Oracle SQL databases.
Additional Beneficial Skills
- Familiarity with industrial control system integrations such as PLC, SCADA, and HMI.
- Awareness of ISA-95 standards relevant to manufacturing operations.
- Introductory experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Knowledge about Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) and their implementation.
- Exposure to Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and digital manufacturing ecosystem components.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven background working as an MES SME, Business Analyst, or Product Owner in manufacturing settings.
- Strong expertise in the manufacturing domain coupled with the ability to liaise effectively between technical and business teams.
- Excellent analytical thinking, precise documentation ability, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Competence in gathering requirements, conducting UAT, and planning release cycles meticulously.
