Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to contribute directly to our DevOps team under the guidance of the DevOps Lead. You will partner closely with software development and operations teams to facilitate the deployment, automation, and surveillance of our applications and infrastructure, enhancing our development processes and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with development and operational teams to oversee and improve application deployment and system automation.
- Design and implement tools and automated processes to streamline the software development lifecycle.
- Monitor infrastructure and applications to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
Required Technical Competencies
- Strong administration skills on RedHat Linux systems.
- Experience in managing and administering Kubernetes clusters.
- Proficiency with AWS services including EC2, CloudFormation, S3, ALB, ELB, Lambda, ECS, ECR, Elasticache, and API Gateway.
- Competency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Groovy.
- Expertise in building CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Solid grasp of networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code methodologies using CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Puppet or Ansible.
- Utilization of monitoring solutions including Datadog and Kibana.
- Management of package managers and container image registries such as Verdaccio, ECR, and GitHub Packages.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
- Experience in Agile development environments.
- Familiarity with Terraform.
- Proficiency leveraging GitHub Copilot for script creation and migration.

This position is based onsite in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, and operates on a contract basis.
