Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Node Technologies seeks a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer responsible for architecting, automating, and maintaining dependable, scalable, and secure infrastructure and deployment environments. This position emphasizes enhancing continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflows, cloud infrastructure management, system reliability, and fostering collaboration between development and operations units.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth software delivery.
• Automate the provisioning of infrastructure and deployment of applications.
• Oversee both cloud-based and on-premises environments.
• Deploy, configure, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor infrastructure and application performance, ensuring stability and reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to deployment, infrastructure, and production environments.
• Implement strategies for backup, disaster recovery, and maintain high availability.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Architect and support scalable and highly available infrastructure.
• Manage container orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Handle CI/CD platforms including Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Maintain monitoring and logging frameworks such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or comparable solutions.
• Enforce DevSecOps principles ensuring robust infrastructure security.
• Optimize system performance, availability, and streamline deployment processes.
• Collaborate closely with development, quality assurance, security, and infrastructure teams.
• Engage in incident management, conduct root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering, including senior-level duties.
• Proven expertise in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Comprehensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes container technologies.
• Hands-on knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider: Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong background in Linux systems administration, networking concepts, and scripting capabilities.
• Experience with Git and managing source control workflows.
• Understanding of monitoring, logging systems, security measures, backup, and disaster recovery protocols.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication abilities for cross-functional technical collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certifications such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Kubernetes Administrator/Developer (CKA/CKAD), or DevOps certifications.
• Experience working within enterprise-level or government IT environments.
• Background working with microservices architectures and ensuring high availability in production.
• Deep knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and cloud security best practices.
