Overview
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at XPT Software, you will collaborate with the DevOps Lead and other team members to work closely with development and operations divisions. Your role is key to supporting application and infrastructure deployment, automation, and monitoring. You will build tools and streamline processes that enhance the software development lifecycle and increase system reliability.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure a variety of applications and services using Kubernetes, AWS Lambda, ECS, and S3.
- Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure components on AWS such as EC2, CloudFormation, S3, Application Load Balancers, Elastic Load Balancers, Lambda, ECS, ECR, Elasticache, and API Gateway.
- Act as a liaison with other technology teams within the AMP environment.
- Design and implement new CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts; provide troubleshooting support for Jenkins and GitHub Actions pipelines and scripts.
- Monitor system metrics and resolve issues using tools like Kibana, CloudWatch, and DataDog.
- Support digital environment platforms built on MongoDB, AWS, Kubernetes, Lambda, and ECS.
- Apply CI/CD best practices to optimize the development process efficiency.
- Assist with various nonproduction and production deployments and project support.
- Identify, recommend, and implement platform enhancements to improve overall performance and reliability.
- Continuously update knowledge of current DevOps technologies, tools, and industry practices.
Core Requirements
- Expertise in Linux system administration (Red Hat preferred).
- Proven experience administering Kubernetes clusters.
- Strong proficiency with Amazon Web Services, including EC2, CloudFormation, S3, ALB, ELB, Lambda, ECS, ECR, Elasticache, and API Gateway.
- Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Groovy.
- Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Solid grasp of networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Competence in configuration management tools such as Puppet or Ansible.
- Experience with monitoring platforms including Datadog and Kibana.
- Knowledge of package management systems such as Verdaccio, ECR, and GitHub Packages.
- Experience managing container image registries, particularly AWS ECR.
