Senior Design Architect

About the Role

A distinguished architectural firm based in Dubai is seeking an experienced Senior Design Architect to contribute to prestigious hospitality, residential, and mixed-use projects around the UAE. This role is ideal for a professional who excels during the early phases of design with a strong creative vision and conceptual strength, capable of transforming innovative architectural ideas into comprehensive design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and actively participate in pre-concept, concept, and schematic design stages for a variety of project types including hospitality, residential, and mixed-use developments.
• Create and refine compelling architectural concepts, narratives, and innovative creative strategies.
• Convert initial design ideas into persuasive architectural presentations and thorough design packages.
• Produce and supervise detailed drawings, plans, elevations, diagrams, and three-dimensional models.
• Collaborate closely with Design Directors, Associates, and project teams to refine design proposals and solutions.
• Manage coordination with external consultants to ensure the preservation of design integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct presentations of design concepts to clients and key stakeholders, effectively conveying the vision and intent.
• Contribute to material selection, facade development, and the overall aesthetic quality of projects.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior architects and designers within the practice.
• Ensure all projects comply with required design standards, quality benchmarks, and technical specifications.

Candidate Profile

• Possess over 12 years of experience in architecture, emphasizing design leadership.
• Demonstrated strength in managing projects from pre-concept through schematic design phases.
• A robust portfolio showcasing luxury hospitality, high-end residential, and/or mixed-use projects.
• Exceptional conceptual design skills paired with creative architectural thinking.
• Proficient in architectural presentations and communication with diverse audiences.
• Proven capability to develop thorough and robust schematic designs from initial concepts.
• Experience working in international architectural or design firms is preferred.
• Exposure to Gulf or Middle East markets is advantageous but not mandatory for candidates with outstanding portfolios and international experience.
• Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite; proficiency with 3D modeling software is an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with confidence in client interactions at senior levels.
