Interior Designer

About the Role

The Interior Designer is tasked with the comprehensive planning, design, and implementation of interior environments that are functional, safe, and visually appealing. This role involves close collaboration with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure that space requirements are transformed into integrated design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to gather detailed requirements regarding project scope, functionality, budget constraints, and design preferences.
• Develop and present initial design ideas, including floor plans, three-dimensional renderings, and mood boards, focused on optimizing spatial arrangements.
• Identify and select appropriate materials, color palettes, lighting solutions, furnishings, cabinetry, wall coverings, and flooring options.
• Produce comprehensive technical drawings such as millwork specifications, electrical and plumbing layouts, and reflected ceiling plans.
• Manage coordination with contractors, carpentry teams, vendors, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing consultants to ensure execution meets specified designs, schedules, and budget plans.
• Prepare budget estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), purchase orders, and continuously track project costs from inception to completion.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or similar disciplines.
• Proficiency with design and visualization software tools including AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong knowledge of ergonomics, compliance with building regulations, materials and finishes, joinery and construction details, and spatial dimensioning.
• Excellent skills in client communication, project management, problem-solving, and negotiation to effectively deliver projects.
