Senior Data Scientist

Role Overview

We seek an experienced Senior Data Scientist to develop impactful AI applications by integrating expertise in statistics, machine learning, and natural language processing. This position involves handling complex projects spanning data preparation through deployment, requiring collaboration to deliver scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop AI solutions including classification, clustering, anomaly detection, and NLP models.
• Utilize statistical methods and ML algorithms to solve advanced problems.
• Write production-standard code and perform data analyses primarily with Python and SQL.
• Design and optimize workflows for model creation, incorporating feature engineering techniques.
• Leverage Azure AI Search to enhance business user access to data and models.
• Collaborate with software developers and project managers, employing tools like GitLab and Jira efficiently.
• Enhance data pipelines and tune model performance for real-world use cases.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to audiences with varying technical background.
• Integrate emerging technologies to facilitate problem-solving activities.
• Engage in Agile methodologies and execute UNIX command line operations as needed.

Required Qualifications

• At least five years of professional experience in the Data Science domain.
• Strong foundation in statistical analysis, machine learning, and NLP with practical insight into real-world challenges.
• Expert proficiency in Python and SQL, including relevant libraries for data analysis.
• Proven experience developing AI solutions covering classification, clustering, or NLP applications.
• Understanding of ML Ops practices and feature engineering techniques in model workflows.
• Preparedness to use Azure AI Search for delivering business-focused models.
• Familiarity with software development processes and version control using GitLab.
• Experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira.
• Capability to operate with UNIX command line interface and deploy innovative technology solutions.
• English language proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or above with strong technical communication skills.

Additional Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, big data technologies, and container orchestration tools.
• Experience in using data visualization tools to present insights clearly.
