Overview
We are looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer specializing in Java and Spring Boot to architect and develop scalable, high-quality backend systems. This role involves driving architectural decisions, building microservices-based solutions on cloud platforms, and ensuring robust security and reliability standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design enterprise-level applications using Java and Spring Boot framework.
- Architect and implement microservices deployed on cloud environments.
- Create and integrate RESTful APIs to bridge backend and frontend components.
- Work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver scalable, maintainable software.
- Lead code reviews and mentor engineering team members technically.
- Drive architectural choices with a focus on quality, security, compliance, and reliability.
- Incorporate Agile and DevOps methodologies throughout software development cycles.
- Manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues spanning the application stack.
- Utilize containerization and orchestration tools for deployment and service management.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Over 10 years of hands-on experience in software design and development using Java 21, Quarkus, and Java/JEE platforms.
- Deep expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Security, and JUnit testing framework.
- Experience with relational databases including Oracle, Sybase, and PL/SQL scripting.
- Understanding of microservices architecture, Azure Cloud services, and Serverless computing.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, including knowledge of pods, containers, services, and Istio service mesh.
- Working knowledge of container technologies like Docker and caching databases such as Redis.
- Expertise in RESTful API development and backend integration with frontend applications.
- Familiar with version control (Git), GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and Agile software development practices.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and React (including React Hooks).
- Knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript programming languages.
- Experience with performance optimization and DevOps tools.
- Ability to translate user experience designs into responsive, scalable user interfaces in line with industry best practices.
