Senior Data Scientist

Role Overview

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will spearhead the development of comprehensive business metrics across multiple dimensions including user engagement, traffic, conversions, and revenue. Your role will encompass defining North Star metrics and delivering robust dashboards and reports that satisfy the majority of daily data requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct multi-dimensional business metrics and provide dashboards/reports covering about 90% of daily informational needs.
• Continuously monitor critical data streams, perform anomaly detection, and implement intelligent monitoring frameworks to identify and solve problems swiftly.
• Assist in shaping user acquisition and engagement strategies by quantifying user behaviors and pinpointing growth drivers.
• Drive optimisation of app features and user funnels by conducting A/B testing and utilizing experimentation frameworks to improve user lifetime value.
• Lead the establishment and standardization of business metrics systems ensuring alignment of KPIs across products and regions.
• Convert complex business challenges into structured analytical approaches and independently manage end-to-end analysis projects, providing actionable insights.
• Collaborate closely with product and operations teams to assess the effectiveness of new functionalities, marketing campaigns, and strategies with rigorous quantitative examination.
• Develop and maintain self-service analytics tools and data products to enable business teams to derive insights autonomously.
• Mentor junior data scientists and analysts, reviewing their code and analyses, advocating adherence to best practices in data methodologies.
• Identify and address data deficiencies and opportunities, leading initiatives to enhance data collection, instrumentation, and infrastructure quality.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior data analyst or equivalent roles.
• Expertise in data query and analysis tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, and Quick BI.
• Comprehensive knowledge of techniques for data gathering, cleaning, and transformation.
• Capable of performing large-scale data analyses and generating detailed reports.
• Strong problem-solving skills coupled with acute attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Exceptional communication skills suited for explaining complex topics clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to communicate effectively and engage stakeholders from various markets.
