Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the stability and dependability of Xiaomi's worldwide services, ensuring uninterrupted availability.
• Handle essential operational tasks including resource allocation, incident management, capacity planning, monitoring, and ongoing reliability enhancement.
• Evaluate technical system designs for soundness, proactively identifying and mitigating risks related to reliability.
• Analyze systemic issues and bottlenecks, applying optimization methods and leading initiatives to improve system reliability, cost-effectiveness, and uptime.
• Engage in 24/7 on-call duty to promptly address production issues and maintain service uptime.
• Improve existing processes by driving automation efforts to reduce manual tasks and fortify system stability and availability.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Proficient in programming with Python, Go, or shell scripting, capable of independently developing functional modules or platforms.
• Knowledgeable in cloud technologies; experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments such as Alibaba Cloud, Azure, or AWS is advantageous.
• Strong background in computer science fundamentals, including Linux systems, networking principles, load balancing techniques, and designing architectures for high availability and disaster recovery.
• Effective collaborator with a strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation, and dedication.
• Preferably has at least three years of experience maintaining and operating large-scale web services, with direct hands-on experience managing sizable web projects considered a plus.
• Mandarin language proficiency, especially spoken, is an additional asset.
