Data Migration Specialist

Role Overview

The SAP Data Migration Lead will oversee the complete data migration process, transferring legacy Oracle EBS data into SAP S/4HANA. This position demands a blend of technical expertise in database operations and a functional grasp to accurately map legacy data structures to SAP master and transactional datasets.

Key Duties

• Design and govern data migration strategies including data profiling, cleansing, field mapping, and validation across diverse business units.
• Collaborate with Oracle database administrators and developers to extract, analyze, and cleanse legacy Oracle EBS data.
• Manage automated data loading processes during mock and final cutover loads, utilizing tools such as SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP BODS, or Advanced Data Migration.
• Implement automated reconciliation mechanisms to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial, supply chain, and HR data migrations.
• Liaise with external system integrator data teams to validate target data structures and confirm system cutover readiness.

Qualifications & Skills

• Over 8 years of direct experience in data migration, particularly migrating from Oracle EBS (R12) to SAP S/4HANA.
• Advanced SQL proficiency and comprehensive knowledge of Oracle EBS database schema modules, including Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Human Capital Management.
• In-depth understanding of SAP S/4HANA data architecture.
• Experienced with data migration platforms such as SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP BODS, or similar ETL tools.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work collaboratively across functional teams to ensure data ownership and validation adherence.
