Job Overview

As a Senior Data Analyst in Strategy, you will collaborate intimately with the Strategy team to enhance processes, services, products, and software by leveraging data analysis. Your role involves focusing on growth alongside business leaders and contributing to expanding the dubizzle and Bayut brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the strategy team to convert complex data sets into practical growth plans presented to the Executive Committee and C-suite executives.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership by identifying major opportunities in growth, pricing sensitivity, and operational improvements.
• Coordinate with leadership across departments to ensure the achievement of company-wide targets.
• Create executive-level business intelligence dashboards that support real-time, data-informed decisions for regional stakeholders.
• Act as the primary liaison between Analytics and Strategy teams, utilizing effective project management skills.
• Lead end-to-end analytical projects, from extracting and modeling data to delivering strategic recommendations impacting profit and loss.
• Operate autonomously on complex initiatives without supervision.
• Develop data-driven automation to optimize business operations and increase revenue across various portfolios.
• Prioritize and manage complex analytics projects by assessing potential commercial benefits and feasibility against business needs.
• Use advanced proficiency in SQL and Python or R for in-depth analysis of large, multi-source datasets.
• Manage analytics-heavy projects requiring some degree of project coordination.
• Encourage collaboration between functions by integrating analytics early in project planning and strategic discussions.
• Promote data integrity and security by setting high coding standards and maintaining centralized glossaries to ensure quality outcomes.
• Establish and document process workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Create and maintain a unified data repository serving as the single source of truth across distributed business units and digital platforms.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects, involving additional analysts as necessary to meet deadlines.
• Guide and mentor junior team members, reviewing and validating their work outputs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
• At least six years of experience in strategy, business analytics, or sales enablement roles.
• Experience collaborating closely with product teams in internet or e-commerce companies.
• Background in e-commerce, internet, or digital media industries.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and advanced Microsoft Excel, along with dashboarding tools.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
• Understanding of commercial and financial principles.
• Ability to analyze large data sets, extract insights, and influence operational decisions.
• Outstanding analytical skills with a proven record of translating data into actionable business insights.
