Job description
Role Overview
As a Senior Cyber Underwriter at HDI Group, you will independently evaluate and underwrite complex cyber risks, crafting tailored and innovative insurance solutions that address the evolving cyber market challenges. You will confidently lead contract and pricing negotiations with brokers, major clients, and other stakeholders while continuously monitoring key market trends. Your expertise will contribute to the strategic and product development of our cyber insurance portfolio. Collaboration is essential, as you will work closely with sales, IT, claims management, and external partners. Additionally, you will support the creation and training of underwriting guidelines and mentor colleagues within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, assess, and underwrite complex cyber risks independently.
- Design custom and innovative insurance products to meet dynamic cyber market demands.
- Lead negotiations on contracts and pricing with brokers, large clients, and business partners.
- Monitor relevant industry trends and actively contribute to the strategic and product advancement of the cyber portfolio.
- Collaborate closely with sales, IT departments, claims management, and external associates.
- Assist in developing underwriting guidelines and provide knowledge transfer through training colleagues.
Candidate Profile
- Several years of experience as a (Senior) Underwriter specializing in cyber insurance.
- Strong technical insurance knowledge and advanced analytical skills for evaluating and optimizing IT security measures.
- Decision-oriented mindset with confidence in handling complex risks and skilled negotiation capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly present complex subjects.
- Independent, structured, and solution-focused, with a commitment to actively advancing the business unit within the team.
- Completed degree in law, economics, computer science, or information security.
