Senior Cyber Security Specialist

Overview

A prominent organization in Qatar is seeking a skilled Senior Cyber Security Specialist to enhance their cyber resilience, oversee security governance, and manage technology-related risks effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct comprehensive cybersecurity risk assessments, governance activities, and ensure adherence to regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate and secure technology infrastructures, including on-premises, cloud, and digital solutions.
• Manage security monitoring systems, respond to incidents, handle threat management, and coordinate vulnerability remediation efforts.
• Administer and optimize various security platforms such as SIEM, EDR, PAM, DLP, email security, and cloud security technologies.
• Organize and supervise penetration testing, regular security audits, and third-party security evaluations.
• Provide guidance to business stakeholders regarding cybersecurity best practices and support the secure delivery of technology projects.
• Develop detailed reports concerning risk, compliance, and security assurance for executive management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information security, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of seven years of professional experience in cybersecurity within enterprise-level environments.
• Proven expertise in areas including security operations, governance, incident response, cloud security, and security architecture.
• Practical experience working with Microsoft and Azure security technologies.
• Possession of professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, GIAC, GCIH, ECIH, or Security+ is strongly preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management capabilities, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills are essential.
