Senior Counsel - Technology and Internet Platform

About the Role

Join a leading technology platform headquartered in Singapore that serves the APAC region. This senior legal position reports directly to the General Counsel and offers diverse responsibilities across Asia and globally. The role predominantly involves commercial legal matters, global transactions, and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with deal teams on new and ongoing commercial agreements regionally and internationally.
• Take a leading role in negotiating complex commercial and regulatory issues.
• Handle partnership and sponsorship contracts that involve cross-border regulatory considerations.
• Manage corporate legal matters such as joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and fundraising to support business growth.
• Leverage commercial intellectual property expertise to safeguard the company’s brand and products.

Candidate Profile

• Possess between 8 to 14 years of qualified post-qualification experience.
• A strong academic background and law firm credentials from Tier 1 institutions are required.
• Demonstrated experience both in top-tier law firms and in-house legal teams.
• Essential: Experience in technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) legal matters.
• Proven track record supporting product, sales, and marketing teams.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish rapport, exhibit friendliness, maintain high standards of work, and show motivation without aggression.
• Culturally adaptable with experience working with diverse teams across Asia and internationally.
