Senior Counsel - Technology

About the Role

Our client is a renowned technology platform based in Singapore, serving the APAC region with global reach. This high-impact position offers the chance to report directly to the C-suite and exercise full autonomy on transactional and commercial legal matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal support to deal teams managing commercial transactions on a global scale, including negotiations and managing complex regulatory frameworks.
• Assist product, sales, and marketing departments with prompt legal guidance and strategic, long-term legal insights ensuring crucial legal sign-offs.
• Anticipate and devise solutions for cross-border legal challenges related to new deal structures, collaborating with in-country counsel and external partners to efficiently allocate resources.
• Coordinate with teams in Singapore and other parts of Asia to guarantee alignment between sales, marketing, and legal compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Partner with global teams, especially in the US and EMEA regions, on cross-border projects and product developments.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Between 10 and 15 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Educational background and prior experience at Tier 1 law firms.
• A blend of law firm and in-house legal experience.
• Expertise in Technology, Media, and Telecom (TMT) sectors.
• Experience providing legal advice to product development, sales, and marketing teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly establish rapport, maintain a friendly demeanor, uphold high standards of work quality, motivation without aggressiveness.
• Competency working with diverse cultural groups across Asia and internationally.
