About the Role

Adobe InDesign is a leading page design and layout application used to create visually stunning documents for print and digital media such as posters, books, digital magazines, eBooks, and interactive PDFs. Our engineering team addresses a broad range of challenges including complex typography and layout algorithms, graphics processing, rendering, and sophisticated user interface design. We invite a Senior Computer Scientist to join our innovative team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new features for Adobe InDesign, Adobe InCopy, and Adobe InDesign Server.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers, architects, and product managers to design and deliver modern, intuitive, and enjoyable features.
• Contribute to the design and architectural planning of the product, especially as we transition from desktop to web platforms.
• Enhance product performance, usability, and stability through space-time optimization techniques.
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance to engineering colleagues.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 11 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience in designing and architecting web applications with cross-browser functionality and interactions with desktop and mobile platforms is a significant advantage.
• Knowledge and experience in developing generative AI models and training them.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a strong grasp of system architecture and design.
• Highly self-motivated, capable of delivering quality results independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for articulating technical decisions and influencing stakeholders.
• Experience working in agile environments on highly complex software products.
• Able to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and dynamic project requirements.
