About the Role
We seek a seasoned Senior LLVM Compiler Engineer to join our team developing compilers for cutting-edge NVIDIA GPUs. Our team creates exceptional compiler solutions that unlock the performance of NVIDIA's GPU hardware across diverse applications such as next-generation graphics, deep learning, scientific computing, and autonomous vehicles. As part of this esteemed organization, you'll contribute to every GPU and SoC product NVIDIA develops.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with NVIDIA's GPU re-targetable compiler backend team.
- Address complex challenges including register allocation, instruction scheduling, synchronization, and loop optimizations.
- Innovate to optimize workloads for domains like Deep Learning, Ray Tracing, and High Performance Computing by working alongside domain experts.
- Resolve unique compilation problems associated with massively parallel GPU architectures.
- Influence and engage in the development of new GPU architectures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in compiler design with strong focus on program analysis and advanced optimizations.
- Expertise in C and C++ programming.
- Practical experience with compiler infrastructures such as LLVM and GCC.
- Thorough understanding of processor architectures.
- Experience collaborating within global teams.
- Self-driven with strong initiative to deliver results.
- Excellent communication skills capable of influencing stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or PhD degree is advantageous.
- Proven track record tackling complex optimization challenges.
- Experience specifically in scheduling and register allocation techniques.
- Exposure to development with CUDA, DirectX, OpenGL, or Vulkan.
