Senior Cloud Architect (m/w/d) – Containerization Specialist

About the Role

As a vital member of our Defense team, you will be a key interface between development units and drive the architectural direction for services created for our clients. Depending on the project, you will plan, develop, and design secure, scalable, and complex cloud solutions and infrastructures according to best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert across various projects, significantly advancing and owning the technical solutions for container orchestration platforms both in the cloud and on-premises.
• Design, plan, and implement solutions in collaboration with your team aligned with client requirements, CGI standards, and security policies.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure efficient deployment and operation of software applications.
• Enhance existing solutions focusing on areas such as security, monitoring, and backup processes.
• Implement Kubernetes security policies according to requirements.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to colleagues.

Qualifications

• At least five years of professional experience developing and refining containerized solutions.
• Comfortable navigating major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Proficient with Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Helm, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and cloud-native technologies.
• Minimum of ten years' experience working on projects involving development tasks, bringing valuable insights to new initiatives.
• Fundamental programming skills in languages like Java, Python, or C#.
• Experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding and application of architectural patterns including the Outbox and Saga patterns.
