Position Overview

We are seeking talented Security Architects to join our team in Reading, providing comprehensive cybersecurity and systems risk solutions across various industries including government, defense, healthcare, utilities, banking, and financial services. These roles require candidates who currently hold or can obtain UK Security Clearance.

Key Responsibilities

You will collaborate within a team of over 230 security professionals delivering holistic security services. As a Security Architect, you will create innovative security designs spanning enterprise architectures, aid in bids, proposals, system implementations, and integrations. Engagement with stakeholders at multiple levels will be vital to developing comprehensive security strategies that bolster systems resilience and client trust. Our team includes both experienced leaders acting as design authorities and junior architects who you may mentor and guide.

Experience and Expertise Required

We welcome applicants ranging from 1 to over 30 years of experience in secure system design consultancy, with senior candidates ideally serving as technical security leads. Your role will emphasize championing security as a core element while effectively communicating and justifying architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proficiency with security standards and frameworks, especially related to Ministry of Defence (MoD) and UK Government (HMG) is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and cybersecurity architectures.
  • Expertise in boundary protection, network segmentation, and managing access controls.
  • Deep knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM), including role-based access control (RBAC), attribute/policy based access control (A/PBAC), and overall permissions management, plus Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA).
  • Experience with cryptographic techniques and their practical implementation.
  • IT asset management and lifecycle tracking capabilities.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management processes and patching protocols.
  • Understanding of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, logging infrastructures, and supporting technologies.
  • Competency securing containerized environments and virtual machines.
  • Delivering secure solutions that align with project goals and timelines.
  • Commitment to and awareness of industry best practices in cybersecurity.
  • Ability to lead and drive change within complex operational contexts.
