About the Role

Join Mott MacDonald, a global employee-owned consultancy dedicated to delivering infrastructure projects that enhance communities and safeguard the environment across New Zealand. Our Auckland Civil & Water team is expanding, seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead and contribute to water and civil infrastructure projects in Auckland and the upper North Island.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Assist with construction oversight, contract management, and on-site engagement.
• Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Enhance project management, leadership, and technical expertise.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to graduate and intermediate engineers.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrates experience with water, wastewater, or stormwater infrastructure projects.
• Possesses strong civil design skills, particularly in pipeline and hydraulic design.
• Has consulting experience with proven client and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Keen to further develop technical knowledge, leadership talents, and client interaction skills.
• Working towards or holding Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status is advantageous.
