Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Principal Electrical Digital Designer to join our Building Services team in Adelaide. This role offers the chance to lead digital BIM delivery for electrical services on major building projects, including Defence and Transport sectors. Key Responsibilities

• Lead digital delivery and BIM coordination focusing on Electrical Services modeling for large-scale buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Ensure consistent application of BIM standards, templates, families, and workflows across teams.
• Contribute to establishing and implementing national BIM standards and procedures.
• Drive excellence in digital design quality, information management, and integrated engineering workflows.
• Lead BIM as Project Lead for multidisciplinary projects, overseeing drawing planning, federated model coordination, clash detection workshops, and ensuring client deliverables are met.
• Develop Digital Delivery Plans, BIM Execution Plans, and enforce model governance processes.
• Mentor and lead BIM Designers, assist in staff recruitment and onboarding, and foster collaboration across offices and disciplines.
• Participate in the national Buildings BIM network, promoting resource sharing and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with Global Delivery Service resources to integrate workflows and enhance digital delivery support.
• Champion innovation by promoting automation, computational design, and adopting emerging BIM technologies.

Required Skills and Experience

• Extensive experience in Building Services BIM and digital delivery, including proficiency with Revizto.
• Security clearance to work on Australian Defence projects is mandatory.
• Advanced skills in Revit for Building Services disciplines with an understanding of Electrical Services Design and preferably a diploma in an electrotechnology-related field.
• Proven ability to lead complex digital BIM projects and coordinate multidisciplinary and international project teams.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 standards, cloud-based Common Data Environments like Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, mentoring, and leadership abilities.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Dynamo, scripting, automation, and computational design methodologies.
• Background in major infrastructure, aviation, defence, health, or other complex building projects.

Technical Capabilities

• Expertise in advanced Revit modelling and content management.
• Understanding of model federation, clash detection, auditing, QA, and BIM governance.
• Capability in BIM execution planning and digital delivery management following industry standards.
• Familiarity with interoperability workflows, data standards, and digital engineering principles.

Accountabilities

• Ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality BIM delivery on projects.
• Support development and mentoring of BIM teams while promoting consistent BIM standards.
• Effectively integrate domestic and international project resources and contribute to national BIM strategies.
