Division Overview

The Water Utilities Division specializes in addressing water and wastewater challenges across the UK and Ireland. Our expertise spans ensuring sustainable water supply, urban flood prevention, and environmental protection of water bodies. We provide a comprehensive suite of services throughout the project lifecycle, from consultancy and feasibility analyses to detailed design, delivering high-quality solutions with cross-disciplinary teams.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Wastewater Network Modeller to join our dynamic team of engineers, modellers, and project managers. This position involves leading the technical delivery of diverse wastewater infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland from feasibility stages to detailed design. The role includes mentoring junior team members, contributing to innovation initiatives, participating in industry conferences, strategic sub-sector leadership, and business development activities. There is also potential for project management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute wastewater infrastructure projects of various scales.
• Engage with clients to clarify model results and methodologies.
• Mentor and guide graduate modellers for professional growth.
• Specify and oversee flow survey activities.
• Lead or review model building, verification, and option evaluation tasks.
• Handle complex modelling challenges as necessary.
• Contribute to and review technical documentation and presentations.
• Develop technical calculation outputs when required.
• Potentially manage projects including schedule, budget, and technical quality if interested.

Candidate Requirements

• Team-oriented with ability to build relationships across all organizational levels.
• Experience leading wastewater modelling projects and collaborating effectively with clients.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in InfoWorks ICM and GIS software packages.
• Project management skills are beneficial but not mandatory.
• Chartered status with a relevant institution such as ICE or CIWEM.
• Advanced spreadsheet data analysis capabilities using tools like MS Excel pivot tables or Power BI.
• Programming skills in VBA or Python considered advantageous.
