About The Role

A reputable surveying company based in Christchurch is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead and develop their internal civil engineering services. This role offers a chance to actively engage in technical civil engineering tasks while influencing the strategic development of the civil engineering division within an expanding organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide civil engineering designs for subdivisions, rural land developments, multi-unit housing projects, and three waters infrastructure.
• Establish and oversee civil engineering standards, templates, and modelling workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate cohesively with a dedicated surveying team to ensure seamless project execution.
• Maintain direct client engagement, fostering strong, ongoing professional relationships.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses between 8 to 15 years of professional experience in civil engineering, with preference for familiarity with Christchurch or New Zealand market conditions.
• Demonstrates solid expertise in land development civil design and three waters infrastructure projects.
• Competent in working autonomously and effectively within a small team setting.
• Excellent communication skills suited to client interactions and relationship management.
• Driven by opportunities to establish and expand an engineering function within a growing firm.
• Holding Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) registration in New Zealand is a mandatory requirement.
