About the Role

Hodson Bay Hotel, part of the esteemed Hodson Bay Group and a proud participant of the Failte Ireland Employer Excellence Programme, is seeking a Senior Chef De Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook dishes maintaining the highest standards in flavor, texture, and visual appeal.
  • Consistently present and prepare all meals in alignment with established quality standards to ensure exceptional culinary experiences for our guests.
  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of the menu and daily specials to accurately execute preparation and presentation of items.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with team members to support a cooperative and creative work atmosphere.
  • Implement proactive strategies to reduce food waste and minimize kitchen hazards.
  • Adhere strictly to food hygiene practices along every stage of the food preparation and service process, following HACCP guidelines.
  • Conduct regular checks of kitchen equipment to confirm operational safety, reporting any issues promptly to supervisors for timely resolution.
  • Work closely with colleagues to surpass guest expectations and maintain excellent food quality and service standards.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possession of a full chef qualification or actively pursuing such certification.
  • Knowledgeable of Food Hygiene standards and HACCP procedures.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment while showing independence and self-motivation.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
  • Capable of performing efficiently during busy and high-pressure periods.
  • Exhibits flexibility, adaptability, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • A strong passion for culinary arts and food craftsmanship.
