About the Role
Based at Homebush West and reporting to the Business Analyst Manager, this position requires collaborating closely with internal business stakeholders and the IT department to produce business case outcomes compliant with company standards and obtain senior stakeholder approval. Responsibilities include contributing to key project deliverables within the established project delivery framework such as business cases, solution concept designs, and training documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document detailed business requirements and conduct thorough analysis.
- Plan and oversee the user acceptance testing (UAT) phase throughout project lifecycles.
- Model existing and future business processes and capture both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Manage and facilitate business user acceptance testing activities, including preparing test scenarios.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders to foster high customer satisfaction.
- Drive continual enhancements in business analysis methods, including refining processes, tools, and templates, while mentoring peers to uphold best practices.
- Collaborate with technical teams to support solution designs that reflect business and operational needs.
- Assist in preparing materials necessary for knowledge transition to production support teams.
- Provide domain and functional expertise to support pilot phases and hyper care for end-users.
Candidate Profile
- Significant experience as a Business Analyst on medium to large complex IT projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude, able to facilitate workshops and identify improvement opportunities.
- Skilled in producing structured business and project documentation supporting technology solution deployment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective engagement with business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with various project methodologies including waterfall, agile, and hybrid.
- Ability to ask incisive questions to fully understand process drivers.
- Effective multitasking and deadline prioritization.
- Extensive experience in managing complete user acceptance testing cycles.
- Collaborative approach to ensure business outcomes meet operational objectives.
- Degree qualification in IT, Business, or Engineering disciplines.
