Role Overview

Join the ClickStack team in revolutionizing developer observability by streamlining telemetry data to provide actionable insights. This open-source platform integrates logs, metrics, traces, and session replays to enable developers to identify issues rapidly. The Senior Backend Engineer will be pivotal in building a petabyte-scale, high-performance observability platform focused on delivering an outstanding developer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain critical backend services and infrastructure essential for the observability platform's operation, ensuring high reliability and throughput.
• Collaborate with open-source contributors and customers to understand challenges and integrate their feedback into backend architecture and API development.
• Engineer scalable backend systems capable of ingesting, processing, and querying vast observability datasets to assist engineers in troubleshooting production issues effectively.

Candidate Profile

• Experienced backend engineer proficient in building robust, high-performing services using TypeScript and Node.js.

Required Qualifications

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience with substantial backend development expertise, preferably in developer tools or infrastructure.

• Strong grasp of API design principles, distributed systems architecture, and data modeling techniques.
• Basic familiarity with Go programming language for occasional contributions.
• Experience working within containerized environments including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Enthusiasm for open source and community engagement.
• Proven ability to create developer tooling with a user-centric design approach.
