Role Overview
The VoidZero team develops innovative open-source tools crucial to modern web development. Projects such as Vite have advanced possibilities and earned wide developer trust. This role entails enhancing the VoidZero toolset (including Vite, Vitest, Rolldown, Oxc, Vite+), focusing on creating features that boost developer productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and launch new capabilities that enhance developer tools.
- Work in conjunction with the open-source community to drive adoption and simplify onboarding.
- Improve tool performance, stability, and the overall user interface.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript programming.
- Enthusiasm for open-source contributions and engaging with developer communities.
- Experience in framework development, developer tools, or infrastructure products.
- A strong product focus with an emphasis on improving developer experience.
- Skilled at deep technical analysis, troubleshooting unclear issues, and evidence-based reasoning.
- Ability to collaborate across different time zones in remote settings.
- Excellent written communication skills and a proactive ownership mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Rust programming language is highly advantageous.
- Experience with maintaining open-source projects.
- Familiarity with compilers, bundlers, test runners, and caching systems.
- Experience or knowledge of Vite, Vitest, Rolldown, Oxc, and Vite+ platforms.
Compensation and Legal Notes
- For candidates based in Portugal, annual compensation ranges between €54,000 and €80,000 inclusive of incentive plans.
- This position may include eligibility for incentive compensation according to Cloudflare’s Sales Compensation Plan and participation in the company's equity program.
- Applicants progressing to final hiring stages might need to attend in-person interviews in a Cloudflare office or hub.
- Employment offers are contingent upon compliance with U.S. export control regulations and authorization to receive controlled technology.
