Job description
Role Overview
We seek an experienced Senior Azure DevOps Engineer proficient in Microsoft Azure, AKS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and container technologies. This role involves architecting, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure alongside CI/CD platforms emphasizing automation, security, reliability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and oversee Azure cloud environments for development, testing, and production.
- Manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and related containerized applications.
- Develop and upkeep Terraform scripts for Infrastructure as Code within Azure settings.
- Construct and maintain CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps.
- Automate provisioning, configurations, and deployment of infrastructure and applications.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes components including deployments, services, ingress controllers, networking, secrets, and configurations.
- Handle container ecosystems using Docker and oversee container lifecycle management.
- Apply Azure networking, security, identity, and access control best practices.
- Monitor system health, performance, availability, and capacity for the platforms.
- Diagnose and resolve intricate infrastructure, Kubernetes, deployment, and live production challenges.
- Adopt and promote DevOps methodologies integrating source code control, branching strategies, release processes, and automation tools.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as developers, architects, security experts, and operations personnel.
- Support cloud migration efforts, platform modernization projects, and continuous process enhancements.
- Create scripts and automation solutions using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Over 7 years of professional experience in DevOps and Cloud Engineering roles.
- Proven expertise with Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
- Strong hands-on skills with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Extensive experience in authoring and managing Terraform Infrastructure as Code.
- Hands-on Kubernetes cluster administration capabilities.
- Solid experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
- Development of Azure DevOps based CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automation practices.
- Fundamental understanding of Azure networking and security features.
- Proficient with Git and version control systems.
- Competent with Linux server administration.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and support of production systems.
