Role Overview

As a Senior Analytics Engineer at Tracksuit, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing our internal analytics platform, which supports Product, Finance, and Go-to-Market teams across a global scale. Collaborating intensively with Data Engineers, Analysts, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Operations staff, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering reliable and impactful data solutions. This position is based in our Sydney or Auckland office.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior finance, GTM, and product stakeholders to understand business decisions and build effective data solutions.
• Communicate analytics outcomes clearly, focusing on impactful, trustworthy metrics.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability across our analytics platform, setting organizational data standards.
• Manage and scale the core analytics infrastructure including Snowflake, dbt, and integrations with HubSpot, Subskribe, and product databases.
• Create self-service data products to empower teams to access insights independently and reduce ad hoc requests.
• Adapt to varied tasks including advanced data modeling, pipeline troubleshooting, mentoring junior staff, and providing cross-team support.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• At least 7 years of experience in data roles with advanced SQL, dbt proficiency on Snowflake, and sound judgement in data modeling.
• End-to-end ownership of ELT pipelines and analytics infrastructure.
• Regular use of AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot with the ability to critically assess their outputs.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or a related analytical discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Desirable Skills

• Experience modeling financial or GTM-related data such as revenue, retention, and sales pipeline.
• Background in B2B SaaS startups or scale-ups.
• Experience creating or contributing to semantic or metrics layers in data platforms.
