Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable AI data pipelines and processing workflows.
• Architect cloud-native backend systems and distributed AI services to support AI applications.
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists to transition ML and NLP models into production environments.
• Create high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices to serve AI models efficiently.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers within your team.
• Participate in architectural decisions, define engineering standards, and contribute to long-term technology strategies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, Backend Engineering, or Data Engineering roles.
• Expert proficiency in Python programming.
• Strong background in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Advanced SQL skills, including the design of optimized relational database solutions.
• Hands-on commercial experience with cloud platforms like AWS and/or Azure, including containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Capability to translate complex technical requirements into scalable and maintainable engineering architectures.

Compensation and Benefits

• Attractive salary ranging from £65,000 to £75,000 per year.
