Role Overview

We seek a Senior AI Engineer to lead the design, enhancement, and deployment of Opus's AI infrastructure, including model serving, orchestration, prompt alignment, workflow intelligence, and AI agent frameworks. Your responsibility is to ensure that AI-enabled components perform with reliability, clarity, and measurable excellence in both operational metrics and user experience.

Leading a multidisciplinary team based in the UAE, you will oversee engineering efforts spanning model pipelines, workflow representations, and agentic systems, refining integrations between foundational models, structured process data, and interactive user inputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and advance high-performance pipelines for AI model serving and orchestration.
• Refactor legacy systems to enhance code clarity, modular design, and maintainability.
• Optimize runtime latency, system reliability, and quality metrics for live AI features.
• Develop observability and error-tracking systems to proactively catch regressions before impacting users.
• Lead prompt engineering and alignment strategies to ensure uniform model behavior and semantic accuracy in all user-facing features.
• Collaborate closely with product teams to meet or exceed quality, stability, and response time objectives for AI outputs.
• Maintain rigorous engineering standards in performance, documentation, and code quality.
• Conduct design reviews, incident investigations, and performance optimization cycles for Opus AI modules.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in machine learning engineering, preferably in SaaS or product-focused environments.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Strong expertise in real-time model serving and orchestration frameworks such as Airflow, Celery, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of large language model (LLM) pipelines, workflow modeling, and agent-based AI architectures.
• Experience deploying and tuning inference pipelines involving LLMs, computer vision, or related APIs.
• Skilled in system monitoring, benchmarking, and ensuring observability.
• Experience mentoring engineering teams and coordinating cross-functional delivery efforts.
• Demonstrated capability in translating complex AI architectures into scalable, stable, and high-quality user applications.
• Experience enhancing consistency and reliability of LLM-generated responses.
• Bonus: Hands-on experience developing and deploying chatbots or conversational AI systems integrating LLMs, APIs, and user workflows.
