Role Summary

We are looking for an accomplished and driven Senior AI Engineer specializing in agentic AI applications and workflows. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, and deploying intelligent AI systems that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) like Claude, OpenAI GPT variants, Google Gemini, among others. Key responsibilities include architecting next-generation AI products, translating prototypes into production-ready AI solutions, and contributing to both external offerings and internal tools within Profitero+.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and deploy systems based on LLMs and generative AI models using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Crew AI, or similar.
• Operate AI systems in live production environments, focusing on performance improvements and managing costs.
• Design Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions employing embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search functionalities.
• Create and refine prompts and interaction methods for LLMs to optimize behaviour and outputs in agentic systems.
• Integrate diverse tools, APIs, and data sources, including leveraging Model Context Protocol (MCP) Servers to enrich model context and toolsets.
• Write reliable, scalable Python code for backend logic and API integrations supporting agentic applications.
• Implement comprehensive testing, evaluation, and ongoing monitoring to ensure robust performance, safety, and error handling in AI workflows.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into feasible technical solutions.
• Keep abreast of advances in generative AI, LLM architectures, agentic workflows, and relevant protocols to assess technology applicability.
• Influence the AI architecture and strategic roadmap within the company.
• Provide mentorship for junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing across the team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least three years of professional software engineering experience with substantial involvement in AI and machine learning projects.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming and familiarity with key AI/ML libraries and frameworks.
• Hands-on experience working with Large Language Models such as Claude, OpenAI GPT (including GPT-4), Google Gemini, or similar generative AI platforms.
• Demonstrated capability in designing agentic AI applications, encompassing planning, memory management, tool utilization, and multi-agent coordination.
• Experience with AI workflow orchestration frameworks including but not limited to LangChain, LangGraph, Crew AI, and Haystack.
• Practical exposure to Retrieval-Augmented Generation paradigms, embeddings, vector database management, and semantic search techniques.
• Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server integration.
• Experience implementing RESTful API integrations and service orchestration.
• Understanding of software best practices such as version control with Git, testing methodologies, and continuous integration/deployment.
• Familiarity with Snowflake data platform is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Work Location & Experience
