Job description

Role Overview

Kāinga Ora is seeking a detail-oriented and influential Senior Advisor to lead governance coordination and reporting efforts within the Architecture & Security department. This role is fundamental to enhancing governance processes, improving risk visibility, and supporting fact-based decision-making in technology and cyber security realms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and refine governance procedures and related activities for Architecture & Security.
  • Deliver insightful and high-quality reports providing clarity on technology and cyber risks to aid leadership and board-level decisions.
  • Ensure risk information is communicated clearly and governance practices align with organizational risk frameworks and priorities.
  • Collaborate with architecture, security, risk, and project delivery teams to maintain effective oversight across Digital IT operations.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in governance, reporting, PMO, or risk roles within technology, cybersecurity, or enterprise settings.
  • Understanding of enterprise architecture, cyber security principles, technology risk, and governance.
  • Proficiency in producing executive-level reporting and insights for senior management and Boards.
  • Familiarity with enterprise risk management frameworks, particularly in regulated, government, or public sectors.
  • Skill in utilizing tools such as Power BI or equivalent platforms for dashboard creation and performance monitoring.
  • Strong analytical aptitude to interpret data trends and highlight key risks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills enabling collaborative relationships across technical and business stakeholders.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex information succinctly.
  • A proactive and organized approach focusing on continuous governance and reporting improvement.
