About the Role
The Business Technology Solutions Manager – Corporate Technology serves as a key strategic partner for the Chief People Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of Procurement at Kāinga Ora. This role is responsible for leading the technology portfolio supporting the organisation’s corporate services, focusing particularly on the Oracle Fusion ecosystem and associated platforms. The position involves shaping technology strategy, setting investment priorities, and ensuring successful delivery and maintenance of solutions related to Finance, People, and Procurement functions.
Leading a team of Product Managers and Delivery Managers, this role requires a balance between driving transformational change and maintaining operational stability, governance, and long-term value realization. It operates at the intersection of business strategy and technology execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior leadership to convert business priorities into a defined technology roadmap.
- Oversee a portfolio of technology projects that align with organisational strategy and delivery capabilities.
- Provide expert guidance on technology choices, investment allocations, innovation possibilities, and delivery methodologies.
- Lead comprehensive delivery of business technology initiatives from conception through implementation.
- Ensure all projects comply with architectural standards, cybersecurity protocols, governance policies, and operational preparedness.
- Manage risks, dependencies, budgets, and delivery metrics effectively.
- Oversee vendor and delivery partner performance to achieve desired outcomes.
- Promote transparency through clear reporting, performance assessments, and value tracking.
- Encourage continuous improvement and support successful adoption of technology solutions across the organisation.
Candidate Profile
- Over 10 years of experience in technology business partnering, product management, programme delivery, or comparable senior technology leadership roles.
- Experience operating within large, complex enterprise environments.
- Proven success leading critical technology initiatives and managing enterprise platforms.
- Expertise in balancing business needs, technology limits, funding considerations, and organisational risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage executive and senior leadership stakeholders.
- Strong financial and commercial understanding including budgeting, forecasting, and investment planning.
- Experience in leading and nurturing high-performing teams.
- A commitment to delivering practical technology solutions that yield measurable benefits.
- Experience specifically with the Oracle Fusion platform.
