Key Responsibilities

• Design and refine sophisticated AI, machine learning, forecasting, optimization, and control algorithms tailored for building automation and energy management solutions.
• Construct mathematical models, run simulations, develop digital twin frameworks, and implement predictive analytics using Python and MATLAB.
• Analyze extensive operational and industrial IoT datasets, integrating algorithms into customer-facing platforms and operational systems.
• Build scalable microservices and deploy AI/ML solutions in cloud and edge environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and advocate for best practices in data science methodologies across teams.
• Collaborate globally to develop and apply data-driven solutions across all Honeywell business units.
• Work closely with application architects to embed advanced analytics into containerized microservices and distributed storage architectures.
• Identify new growth opportunities and efficiency improvements through data analysis informed by industry trends and past projects.
• Develop data modeling, mining, pattern recognition, visualization, and machine learning solutions that align with business needs.
• Engage proactively with business teams to understand processes and propose innovative data-centric solutions.
• Effectively communicate project deliverables focusing on customer value, business objectives, and product opportunities.
• Drive promotion and adoption of data science processes throughout the organization.
• Partner with business and infrastructure teams to formulate strategies leveraging enterprise platforms to enhance growth and productivity.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or related disciplines.
• A minimum of 7 years experience in data science, cloud technologies, machine learning, applied AI, advanced analytics, or algorithm development.
• At least 5 years of practical experience in software development using Python.
• Minimum 3 years of proficiency in MATLAB for modeling, simulation, optimization, and algorithm development.
• Minimum 3 years developing solutions in predictive analytics, optimization, forecasting, or advanced control systems.
• Demonstrated experience deploying machine learning models in production environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, version control systems, and industry-standard software engineering practices.
• Experience working with distributed computing and big data platforms such as Apache Spark.
• Strong theoretical and practical foundation in statistics, machine learning, optimization, and mathematical modeling.

Preferred Experience

• Industry experience in building automation and energy management systems.
• Expertise in optimization techniques, reinforcement learning, Model Predictive Control (MPC), and complex control algorithms.
• Development of digital twin and simulation frameworks.
• Knowledge of industrial automation, industrial IoT, and operational technology domains.
• Handling streaming analytics and real-time data processing solutions.
• Building NLP, computer vision, image analysis, or deep learning applications.
• Working with Azure Cloud infrastructure, containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and MLOps platforms.
• Skills with SQL, Tableau, and contemporary analytics software platforms.
• Experience collaborating with geographically dispersed engineering teams.
