Job description
About the Role
Join a leading semiconductor company based in Singapore as a Design Verification Engineer specializing in SoC and IP. This role involves comprehensive verification of sophisticated IP blocks and System-on-Chip (SoC) designs by building robust verification frameworks to ensure functional accuracy of ASIC designs.
Responsibilities
- Analyze digital design specifications for various IP components and overall SoC architecture.
- Develop detailed test plans at both module and SoC levels that align with functional specifications.
- Construct ASIC verification environments incorporating elements such as stimulus generation, checkers, assertions, monitors, and scoreboards.
- Design and execute both directed and constrained-random verification test cases, conducting simulations through EDA tools to confirm functional compliance.
- Implement verification plans including design bring-up, DV bring-up, and regression setups covering all features.
- Collaborate closely with the digital design team to troubleshoot functional test cases and validate correct functioning of designs.
- Deliver consistent results within a fast-moving and dynamic work environment.
Candidate Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- At least 6 years of professional experience in SoC/IP verification roles.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills with cross-team collaboration capabilities.
- In-depth functional verification expertise in VLSI, especially in complex high-speed custom VLSI products.
- Proficiency in hardware verification languages and object-oriented programming paradigms.
- Strong command over SystemVerilog, UVM, and Python; familiarity with TCL and Perl scripting is advantageous.
- Sound knowledge of ASIC verification methodologies, tools, and development workflows.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with technologies such as Ethernet L2/L3 switch/router, AMBA bus, high-speed interfaces including USB 2.0/3.0/4.0, PCIe Gen2 through Gen5, MIPI CSI-2/DSI-2, SATA, Flash controllers, CPU peripherals, and SoC system controllers.
- Background in Automotive, IoT, or Video industry sectors is considered a plus.
