Job Description

• Implement and maintain robust security policies and procedures to safeguard DHL customers' shipments.
• Perform security audits and collaborate with other departments for compliance.
• Prepare police reports and coordinate with police and court authorities on criminal investigations, representing DHL in court when necessary.
• Establish and sustain communications with local law enforcement to facilitate assistance and information sharing aligned with company policies.
• Manage local investigations led by country or aviation resources, offering support, guidance, and expertise through investigative and follow-up actions.
• Investigate security incidents including loss or theft of shipments, company assets, and crimes involving personnel or property.
• Advise and assist local and regional management on complex legal, personnel, and procedural issues to reduce company liability in civil or criminal matters.
• Apply analytical techniques to assess losses, predict recurrence likelihood, estimate financial impact, and implement proactive countermeasures.
• Engage in preventive security activities such as threat assessments, counseling management on threat mitigation, conducting employee education and awareness programs, and consulting on Code of Conduct issues.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, civil laws, and labor relations regulations during investigations to avoid legal exposure.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related discipline is mandatory.
• Possess 3 to 5 years of operational experience in a similar capacity, ideally within transportation or logistics sectors.
• Proficiency in English with strong speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• Competent in computer applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and Email.
• Excellent communication abilities combined with strong report writing skills.
• Sharp analytical reasoning, negotiation capability, and adeptness in investigative processes.
