Security & Facilities Officer

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Security & Facilities Officer to oversee all aspects of security management at our Ponneri site in Tamil Nadu. The role is responsible for monitoring and controlling access of personnel and vehicles, ensuring safety and security compliance, and coordinating emergency responses.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage entry and exit points for employees, contractors, visitors, and vehicles with strict verification of identification and permits.
• Perform routine security patrols throughout fabrication shops, laydown yards, warehouses, jetty areas, and surrounding premises to deter unauthorized activities.
• Prevent incidents such as theft, vandalism, trespassing, and pilferage across the site.
• Operate and supervise CCTV surveillance, access control systems, and security alarms effectively.
• Maintain detailed logs of personnel movements, visitor passes, vehicle records, and incident reports.
• Coordinate with Stores, Logistics, and Project teams to verify inward and outward movement of materials.
• Provide support during emergency situations including fire outbreaks, medical emergencies, natural disasters, and security breaches.
• Conduct investigations of security incidents and prepare thorough reports with recommended corrective measures.
• Liaise with external agencies such as local authorities, police, coast guard, and emergency responders as needed.
• Oversee contract security staff ensuring proper discipline, deployment, and shift scheduling.
• Lead security training and awareness sessions, including toolbox talks for employees and contractors.
• Ensure adherence to company security protocols, statutory obligations, and health, safety, and environment standards.
