Security Architect (DV Security Clearance)

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Security Architects who are proactive in cyber security, systems, and operational risk management to join a leading UK cyber consultancy. The role offers an opportunity to engage in impactful projects with clients from diverse sectors such as government, defense, healthcare, utilities, and financial services. Candidates must hold or qualify for UK Security Clearance to be eligible.

Key Responsibilities

As part of a collaborative team of 230+ professionals delivering comprehensive security services, you will design and implement innovative security solutions that protect critical business systems. Responsibilities include crafting security designs across enterprise architectures, supporting bids and proposals, integrating new solutions, and liaising with stakeholders at all organizational levels. Senior architects will act as design authorities, while junior architects will grow their expertise working alongside them.

Experience and Skills Required

The recruitment is open across all experience levels, ranging from 1 to over 30 years in consulting on secure system design implementation, with senior positions requiring technical security leadership. Candidates must appreciate the central role of security and possess strong communication skills to advocate for secure architecture with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Knowledge of security standards and frameworks, with Ministry of Defence and Her Majesty's Government experience being advantageous.
• Expertise in cloud cybersecurity principles and architectural strategies.
• Skills in boundary controls, network segmentation, and access control mechanisms.
• Proficiency with Identity and Access Management, including Role-Based and Attribute-Based Access Controls, permissions management, and Zero Trust Architecture.
• Understanding of cryptographic methods and their practical applications.
• Experience in IT asset management and tracking within enterprise environments.
• Competence in vulnerability management and patching processes.
• Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, logging infrastructures, and supporting tools.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies and virtual machine security.
• A demonstrated ability to provide secure solutions aligned with project requirements.
• A commitment to industry best practices and standards.
• Capability to drive transformational change in complex organizational settings.
