SAP TM Functional Consultant

Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP TM Functional Consultant with 6 to 15 years of expertise in Transportation Management. The consultant will engage in designing, implementing, and supporting SAP TM solutions to optimize logistics and supply chain operations. The role requires in-depth knowledge of end-to-end SAP TM implementations, integration with related modules, and strong functional expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead and actively contribute to comprehensive SAP TM implementations.
• Configure SAP TM modules to meet specific business requirements effectively.
• Develop scalable and optimized transportation management solutions.
• Analyze client logistics processes to identify opportunities for improvements.
• Deliver functional expertise in areas such as transportation planning and execution.
• Convert business needs into precise functional specifications.
• Ensure smooth integration with SAP SD, SAP MM, and preferably SAP EWM or other logistics systems.
• Collaborate with technical teams on interface mechanisms including CIF and middleware.
• Set up and manage transportation networks, freight units, and freight orders.
• Oversee carrier selection processes, tendering, and management of charges and costs.
• Handle freight settlements, invoicing, and cost distribution tasks.
• Implement order integration, planning profiles, optimizer settings, and scheduling procedures within SAP TM.
• Maintain essential master data such as business partners, products, transportation resources, and hazardous goods information.
• Prepare functional specifications, design test cases, and support SIT, UAT, as well as production deployments.
• Work alongside technical teams to track and resolve issues efficiently during implementation phases.

Eligibility

Applicants should possess a minimum qualification of any graduate degree. Candidates currently located in Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, or Gandhinagar with immediate to 30 days’ notice period are preferred.

Additional Information

Applicants are expected to provide complete employment documentation including offer letters, relieving letters, provident fund and experience certificates. Candidates who are former employees of the company must supply their relieving letter and employee ID.
