Sales Representative - Electrical Wholesale & Contractors

About The Role

Join a globally recognised provider of electrical solutions with operations in over 100 countries. This hybrid role combines fieldwork and work-from-home flexibility, managing a territory south of the Swan River including South Metro Perth and South West Western Australia. With Western Australia flagged as a strategic growth zone, you will take charge of an established territory with strong customer relationships, expanding the brand's reach within the electrical wholesale and contractor market.

You will engage an existing robust wholesale customer base alongside building new partnerships with electrical contractors and end-users to drive demand and growth. Supported by a global organisation's resources, training, and reputation, you will function within a down-to-earth, collaborative local team.

Key Responsibilities

• Steward and expand a well-founded portfolio of electrical wholesale customers.
• Strengthen relationships while uncovering opportunities to grow the territory.
• Forge strong bonds with wholesalers, contractors, installers, and industry stakeholders.
• Spend majority of customer-facing time in-person across your designated territory.
• Implement a sales push-pull strategy supporting wholesalers and creating demand with contractors.
• Identify and cultivate new business prospects throughout South Metro Perth and South West WA.
• Promote a premium electrical product portfolio emphasizing authentic product features, quality, and value.
• Offer product guidance and assist customers with technical and commercial queries.
• Keep abreast of competitor movements, market trends, and client feedback.
• Collaborate closely with internal sales, technical trainers, and interstate team members.
• Manage pipeline, CRM activities, and territory performance aligned to targets.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in territory sales, account management, or business development.
• Background or exposure in electrical wholesale, distribution, trade products, or related technical markets preferred.
• Existing connections in the Western Australian electrical wholesale or contractor sectors are advantageous.
• Electrical trade qualifications or practical electrical industry experience valued.
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
• Commercial understanding of pricing, margins, sales targets, and territory management.
• Ability to operate autonomously and plan customer engagement activities.
• Confidence with CRM systems and leveraging sales data to prioritize opportunities.
• Current Australian driver’s license is required.

Success Metrics

You will collaborate with the wider WA sales team to increase market share, strengthen relationships in wholesale and contractor networks, and achieve sustainable growth with an annual target near 8%.
