Role Overview
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a vital role in executing Rubrik's ambitious go-to-market plan by generating high-quality sales meetings through proactive outbound outreach and follow-up on inbound leads. This position involves researching prospects, tailoring communications, and influencing potential customers to evaluate Rubrik’s solutions. It is a unique chance to contribute to building the ASEAN SDR team in a high-impact, challenging industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify promising prospects, evaluate their fit with Rubrik’s offerings, and customize outreach to set productive meetings.
- Manage outbound and inbound lead generation activities by engaging enterprise prospects through email, social media, and phone to qualify opportunities.
- Ensure timely and compliant follow-up on inbound leads from marketing efforts.
- Collaborate closely with field sales teams to devise strategies to penetrate new accounts.
- Stay informed about current market developments, competitors, and cybersecurity incidents impacting the industry.
- Develop deep expertise in Rubrik’s products and how they support customers’ business continuity.
- Utilize CRM platforms such as Salesforce and Outreach to track leads and sales activities effectively.
- Take ownership of personal sales targets and report on progress to relevant stakeholders.
- Engage in continuous learning through pitch competitions, boot camps, and training to enhance sales techniques.
- Receive ongoing coaching and feedback from management, including monitored calls, to refine selling skills.
- Work onsite in the office 2 to 3 days weekly to benefit from active coaching and peer interaction.
Required Experience and Skills
- A minimum of two years experience in sales-related roles, including B2B sales, marketing, or lead generation.
- Demonstrated experience working within ASEAN markets, particularly Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines; familiarity with Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam is advantageous.
- Background in customer service is beneficial.
- Ability and enthusiasm to rapidly grasp technical concepts.
- A strong ambition to develop a career in sales or business development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with professionalism in email, LinkedIn outreach, and phone conversations.
