Job description
Overview
We are hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to spearhead our outbound lead generation across the US, APAC, and EMEA regions. This role involves identifying and qualifying potential customers to facilitate valuable meetings for the sales team, thereby expanding our international reach. The SDR reports directly to the Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate prospecting activities through cold calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn, and various channels to generate qualified leads across US, APAC, and EMEA markets.
- Evaluate both outbound and inbound leads using established criteria applicable to multiple Avalara products.
- Develop expertise in communicating the benefits and features of Avalara’s offerings to potential clients.
- Arrange high-quality meetings and demonstrations for the sales personnel.
- Work collaboratively with marketing and sales teams to improve outreach approaches.
- Keep CRM records precise and current.
- Surpass weekly and monthly targets related to calls, emails, and scheduled meetings.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, regional market changes, and competitive dynamics.
- Encourage customer engagement in events and webinars.
- Participate actively as a team member both within the department and company-wide.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in sales or lead generation within SaaS or technology sectors.
- Understanding of US business culture, time zones, and communication practices.
- Proven ability in engaging prospects effectively in English, including international clients.
- Experience with inside sales functions in a SaaS organization.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate sales records and contacts within CRM systems.
- Familiarity with sales engagement tools and CRM platforms.
- Flexibility to work hours aligning with US time zones.
- Capability to manage multiple sales prospects simultaneously.
