Job description

About Jobber and the Role

Jobber is dedicated to empowering small home service businesses — such as plumbers, painters, and landscapers — by streamlining their operations through technology. Our platform enables these businesses to easily quote, schedule, invoice, and collect payments while delivering a superior customer experience. In an evolving service landscape where customer expectations and technology are rapidly changing, Jobber provides the flexibility and tools needed to run businesses anytime, anywhere.

Jobber’s culture emphasizes transparency, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation with numerous recognitions including Great Place to Work and Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50™. Our experienced leadership team drives us toward ambitious goals since onboarding our first customer in 2011.

Sales Team Overview

The Sales team at Jobber focuses on understanding customers’ business needs and converting leads into passionate advocates. This team thrives on celebrating successes, learning from setbacks, and consistently challenging themselves. Members benefit from frequent 1:1 coaching sessions aimed at performance and career development. The role is target-driven with daily and monthly KPIs and features opportunities to compete in monthly and quarterly incentive contests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with potential customers through multiple channels including phone, text, and email.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executive colleagues to ensure excellent customer experiences and seamless product exposure.
  • Consistently give and accept constructive feedback to foster personal and team growth.
  • Maintain accurate lead and follow-up information within Salesforce for analytics and tracking purposes.
  • Dedicate time to continuous learning and self-development to enhance sales capabilities.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Proven sales experience, ideally excelling in technology, electronics, or retail sectors.
  • Highly self-motivated and energetic, capable of making over 100 outbound calls daily to support the sales cycle.
  • Resilient and persistent, quickly recovering from rejection to maintain high performance.
  • Excellent collaborator who builds effective relationships and works well within the Sales team.
  • Adaptability to pivot strategies swiftly in an agile work environment.
  • Strong verbal communication skills emphasizing active listening and understanding customer needs.

Working Hours and Shift Details

To provide comprehensive customer coverage, the role requires working a non-traditional schedule: Monday through Friday on a late shift from 1pm to 10pm ET (equivalent to 11am to 8pm MT or 10am to 7pm PT). Jobber operates Monday to Thursday from 6am to 8pm MT and Friday to Sunday from 6am to 6pm MT.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package includes a fixed base salary of $46,300 CAD and a commission potential of $15,000 CAD, providing an on-target earnings (OTE) total of $61,300 CAD. Commissions are uncapped and paid monthly, allowing earnings beyond the stated OTE. Additional benefits include equity rewards, annual health and wellness stipends, retirement savings matching, and extended health coverage with fully paid premiums for physical and mental health.

Career development is actively supported with access to coaching, leadership programs, and defined growth pathways within the company.

Hiring Process

  1. Application review focusing on customer service experience, onboarding, or training credentials.
  2. A screening stage involving a brief, recorded audio interview using third-party software.
  3. Initial conversation with Talent Acquisition to explore candidate background and mutual fit.
  4. Team interviews including role-play exercises and performance discussions with sales leadership, followed by a final interview with a Senior Manager if successful.
  5. Job offer extended to the selected candidate.
