Job description
About Heidi
Heidi is revolutionizing healthcare by providing clinicians worldwide with an advanced AI Care Partner. Having processed data from 175 million patient visits and supported 67 million clinical hours, our platform facilitates 2.8 million weekly patient sessions across more than 190 countries, supporting over 200 specialties and operating in 110 languages. Our mission is to double global healthcare capacity while strengthening the human connection that is central to medicine.
After gaining strong product-market fit with a popular freemium medical scribe solution, we've dramatically grown from $1 million to $50 million in annual recurring revenue over two years. We have raised substantial funding totaling US$340 million, including a $100 million Series C led by Blackbird and a $240 million growth fund led by General Catalyst.
Role Overview
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you'll serve as one of the initial points of contact for clinicians engaging with Heidi. Partnering with Account Executives (AEs), you will convert cold leads into promising opportunities and transform incoming interest into scheduled discovery and demo meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research clinical networks, general practitioner practices, and healthcare systems to create a pipeline of qualified prospects for AEs.
- Execute outbound outreach campaigns via emails, calls, and LinkedIn; experimenting with messaging and iterating based on audience response.
- Efficaciously qualify inbound leads by understanding their clinical workflows before handing them over to AEs.
- Secure discovery calls with high attendance by preparing thoroughly so that clinicians or practice managers feel understood and engaged.
- Maintain accurate and insightful activity and pipeline tracking in the CRM system to benefit team operations, beyond mere compliance.
- Collaboratively work with marketing and AE teams to relay market feedback regarding objections, resonant messaging, and opportunities.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Minimum one year of experience in SDR, BDR, or related outbound sales functions with familiarity in executing outreach sequences.
- Confident and resilient in making cold calls without extended preparation.
- Strong written communication skills that convey personalized, authentic emails over templated messages.
- A keen interest in healthcare and the ability to quickly learn the landscape to communicate credibly with clinicians and their staff.
- Disciplined and consistent CRM maintenance practices.
- Comfortable with the demands and dynamic nature of early-stage startups, capable of navigating ambiguity and fast paced environments.
Our Culture and Values
- We build for long-term impact, embracing ambitious goals to improve global health drastically.
- Leadership and proactive problem-solving are central; we act on future challenges today.
- We prioritize evidence-based approaches, keeping patient wellbeing as our core and respecting the complexities involved.
- Accountability is key: all team members own outcomes, raise practical solutions, and take initiative.
- We value rapid iteration and precise execution over exhaustive planning.
- Our solutions are designed to suit the real-world pressures clinicians face daily.
